Sliding into Home

Last weekend we bussed to Boca. A new couple arrived and we have the ‘obligation’ to show them the good places. After searching for and finding the artist we had met in 2001, John gave him the picture we took then of him, John, and the painting we purchased that day. Quite a surprise to Guillermo Alio.

What’s that you ask? Did we eat there? Why yes, as a matter of fact we did. John-befe, me-shrimp. Come on now, you know you eat three times a day, too, and would eat out in a heartbeat.

We must, of course, visit some of our favorite haunts. Fortunately Almacen de Pizza is just down the street from our office. Then there is La Bombonera, home of the Boca Juniors, the best soccer team in the world [or at least the most fun!]. To add suspense to excitement, we went without tickets but with a Club member who managed to get not only us in but a Brazilian couple we met there. We felt international and completely Argentine, both at the same time. To add to the thrill, Boca won!

Then one more little vacation in Bariloche, the most beautiful place on earth. Ah!!! That's Cerro Catedral in the background. and, of course, we ate.

And a little trip to the airport - and home.

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart.
